Lessons From Prison Ministry

When I was first asked to perform Jail Ministry at Charlotte Jail Central I was both hesitant and apprehensive. It was not clear to me that Jesus was calling me to serve Him is this ministry. I went in with an open mind and in my first experience I realized that I genuinely enjoyed the interaction with the inmates and that was was a ministry that Jesus was calling me to serve him in. I went on to perform Prison Ministry at Alexander Correctional Facility> I have humbled with the realization that the inmates that I minister to at AXCI also minister to me. The below article does a wonderful job in explaining the peace and joy that lay-ministers experience in this beautiful ministry.
